How Gracefully Given Events came to be. Buckle up!
How Gracefully Given Events came to be. Buckle Up!
When I was a senior in college, I asked God what I should do with my life, as many college students do before they’re thrown into the real world. His main response was encouragement, assuring me that He’d be with me every step of the way and that I had been given more than I could ever imagine. If God had already blessed me so greatly, what was to stop Him from continuing to do so?
I felt a strong pull toward starting my own business in wedding and event coordination. Despite having no money, experience, or direction, and being unsure of what to call this “business,” I was determined. In my prayers, God reminded me that not only had I been given more than I could fathom, but I had also been Gracefully Given. Christ’s grace is the greatest gift I’ve ever received. That’s when the wheels began turning...
From that moment on, I decided that if my future company ever came to fruition, it would be called Gracefully Given Events. I even have a note in my phone from 2022 to prove it. My purpose would be to bring meaning back into weddings and events, to honor God and cherish the sacred covenant a couple makes at the altar. My goal would be to support couples in focusing on what truly matters: their marriage.
When the wedding day ends, you’re left with marriage. How much better would it be to spend your engagement season preparing for the rest of your lives, rather than just one day? Why waste precious time deciding what fork your guests will use at the dinner table? Don’t get me wrong—God cares about every detail. He was incredibly detailed in pairing each couple together! But there’s so much more to marriage than your wedding day, and I believe you might as well use your time wisely. I’m intentional about every detail of your wedding day to give you the freedom to focus on what really matters.
